Who Should Attend?
Would it help you to meet with about 160 suppliers of equipment, consumables and services to the forging industry? Is it worth your time and travel to hear about the latest forging trends and technologies at more than 60 exhibitor presentations? Do you enjoy networking with industry professionals, meeting with old friends and making new ones? Would it help your organization to learn about advancements in the forging industry that can easily affect your business in the future?
If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then you will find Cleveland to be the place to be May 21-23. Registration for Forge Fair 2019 opened last October, and all you have to do to register now is visit FIA’s website at www.forging.org to get your experience started.
If you are a supplier to the industry, there is still plenty of time to reserve a booth and connect with industry attendees. All details on booth specifications, floor plan and pricing are available at FIA’s website. Forge Fair 2019 is expected to attract more than 1,500 forging professionals representing more than 20 countries. Among these attendees are forging company CEOs and senior executives; plant managers, engineering and maintenance supervisors; and energy, technical and operations managers. These attendees represent approximately 200 custom, captive and catalog forging producers involved in the complete range of forging processes and materials.
Forging professionals attend to see new products, make purchasing decisions and network with each other. Forging producers from across the globe using any forging process for any end-use application are encouraged to attend. Many come for the entire program and take advantage of the reduced three-day fee structure. Single-day attendance is also an option for those who can make it a day trip. Many forging producers send teams of attendees from their management, engineering, production and sales staffs. Based on historical figures, attendees from forging management and engineering functions comprise about 75% of total attendees.
Those who come will have an excellent opportunity to see the most recent and advanced products and technologies brought to bear on modern forging design, production and finishing. From material selection to shipment of finished parts to consulting services, the product offerings on the expo floor will be the largest assembled in North America under one roof. Exhibitor displays will feature innovations in heating, tooling, equipment, testing, automation, conservation of resources, process and plant improvements and technology gains, which are adaptable to all types of forging operations.
What to Expect
Walk-on registration for Forge Fair 2019 will commence on Tuesday, May 21 at 8:00 a.m. The exhibit floor will formally open at 11:00 a.m. on that day.
Registered attendees can attend the show-floor expo during exhibit hours. Roughly 160 industry suppliers are expected to display their products and services in a walk-through, trade-show format. Exhibit booths will include presentations of equipment, operating models, AV demonstrations, and product and literature samples. In addition, one-on-one, question-and-answer opportunities with vendor representatives are available. The expo hall is closed to general customer traffic while technical-paper presentations are in session.
Technical papers will be presented in 25-minute program slots, each of which will consist of multiple concurrently running presentations that the attendee can select according to his/her individual interests. Up to 60 total technical presentations will be made. Additional technical program information will be posted on the Forge Fair website as it becomes available.
Two group breakfasts, two buffet lunches and two evening cocktail receptions in the Exhibit Hall will increase time for attendees to speak with vendors one-on-one. The exhibit-floor meals are included in the registration fee for all attendees, either on a daily or full-conference basis. Attendee registration includes access to the exhibitor presentations, complimentary continental breakfasts, hot buffet lunches and evening receptions.
