Patriot Forge announced an expansion to its Brantford, Ontario, facility. The majority of the $63 million expansion will go toward sophisticated forging equipment, but the project will also include the construction of a 320,000-square-foot production plant that will significantly expand the firm's existing facility. The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) will support the project with an investment of up to $10 million. Patriot Forge expects to create 75 new full-time jobs during the life of the project and 86 full-time jobs within five years of its completion. Patriot Forge is one of Canada’s largest open-die forging businesses, with interests in the defense, oil and gas, and aerospace sectors.
