Viking Blast & Wash Systems announces the newest blaster in its industrial line of Spinner Hanger blasters, the SH 4848. This new, redesigned unit is equipped with two VK Powermax 15-HP blast wheels at 3,525 rpm. The air intake is very aggressive and allows for application of more than 2,400 CFM, yielding cleaner abrasive and a cleaner cabinet. The drum is made of rolled manganese and lined with manganese on the sides and 0.5-inch cast chrome/molybdenum directly in front of the blast wheels. Most applications are covered by the standard offering, but it can also be fitted with a rotary scalping drum, auxiliary abrasive hopper, additional horsepower and a peening package. All Viking cartridge-style dust collectors are sold with NFPA-required deflagration panels as standard.
