India’s Sanghvi Forging and Engineering Ltd. (SFEL), a
producer of forgings for the non-automotive sector, is changing its product mix
to more closely focus on low-volume, higher-margin and larger products used in
the aerospace, nuclear power generation, oil and gas, and defense industries.
As part of this shift, the company has commissioned a new plant at Vadodara,
major equipment for which is expected by February 2012. The new facility will
have an annual capacity of 15,000 tons.
