Founded as Galt British Forge in 1928, Canada’s Patriot Forge celebrated 85 years in business in 2013. The company has added facilities since the 1970s and targets its investments not only toward forging equipment and space but also toward support services, making it a full-service supplier of engineered forged components.
On April 10, Timken treated FORGE to a tour of its Faircrest Steel Plant in Canton, Ohio. On the same day, the company announced the completion of three previously announced capital investment projects totaling $85 million.
Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation of Bethlehem, Pa., is the
sole remaining super-heavy open-die forging company in the Western Hemisphere.
More than a century old, the company’s historic facilities were the birthplace
of the modern U.S. defense industry.
