This event teaches how to “connect the dots” between the science of tooling failure and practical production issues. It covers the fundamentals of stress analysis, die failure modes and interpreting simulation results.
The workshop is a collaboration between Marquette University and Scientific Forming Technologies Corp. (SFTC). Marquette Professor Joe Domblesky and SFTC staff John Walters and Jim Miller will instruct the class. It will help management, engineers and designers understand how to improve tool life before the dies are manufactured. Emphasis is put on fundamentals and their application to industrial problems.
