Alumineto de titânio gama forjado (γ-TiAl) é considerado o material do amanhã para pás de rotor em motores a jato. Este material de baixa densidade pesa aproximadamente metade das ligas à base de níquel, o material convencional atual para as pás do rotor. Com sua nova prensa isotérmica de forjamento e um processo de fabricação inovador da Siempelkamp, a Leistritz Turbinentechnik (Alemanha) é capaz de produzir pás de rotor para uma nova geração de motores a jato.
