Alcoa’s Wheel and Transportation business opened a production facility in Suzhou, China, on Dec. 13. The addition creates a full wheel manufacturing, distribution, sales and service network in China. The facility brings Alcoa’s industry-leading forged aluminum wheel technology, which manufactures lighter, stronger and more fuel-efficient commercial truck, trailer and bus wheels, to China. This is the first wheel manufacturing facility Alcoa has opened in China, adding to its existing wheel facilities in North America, Europe and Japan.
