Ohio Star Forge of Warren, Ohio recently received a favorable vote from the Trumbull County commissioners that will help them finalize plans for a $22 million expansion, which will include a new 33,000-square-foot building and $14-16 million in new forging equipment. The expansion will add 25-30 new jobs during the next three years, and it will allow the independent subsidiary of Japan’s Daido Steel to enhance existing market share and enter a new market niche. The company forges parts for the automotive and gas and oil industries from hot-rolled steel bars.
