U.K.-based Firth Rixson signed a multi-year purchasing agreement with Belgium-based Techspace Aero, a producer of modules, equipment and test cells for aerospace engines, at the 49th International Paris Air Show. Under terms of the agreement, Firth Rixson will supply Techspace Aero with forged rings and cases for multiple engine programs. Valued at more than $100 million, the agreement will extend through 2015.
Firth Rixson and Snecma, a company of the Safran Group, signed an agreement for the purchase of closed-die forged products. These items will be manufactured at Firth Rixson’s new facility in Liberty County, Ga.
