Firth Rixson Ltd. (FR) signed a new long-term agreement with Pratt & Whitney to supply the aircraft engine manufacturer with most of its seamless-ring forging requirements for its commercial and military aircraft engines. Though most contract specifics are undisclosed, the contract runs through December 2015. FR, a producer of rolled rings for the aerospace and other industries, also produces open- and closed-die forgings. The company has four plants in the U.S., one in China and one in the U.K.
