TECT Power finished a complete rebuild of the 12,000-ton mechanical forge press at its Euclid, Ohio, facility. The project began in December 2009, and the press has returned to full service after repairs and upgrades that involved the press bolsters, crankshaft, hydraulics and electrical systems. The recommissioned press is one of the largest of its type in the country.
The Euclid facility supplies forgings to the aerospace, power-generation and medical industries. It supports 90 full-time jobs and has approximately 25 forging presses ranging in size from 500 to 12,000 tons.
