The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certified Standard Forged Products of McKees Rocks, Pa., as a Star site. The company is one of the largest railcar axle and circular forging plants in the U.S., providing a variety of high-volume products to companies in the transportation, industrial, construction and energy industries. The Star designation is the highest honor an employer can receive in its Voluntary Protection Programs, in which management, labor and OSHA work cooperatively and proactively to prevent injuries, illnesses and workplace hazards.
