Sack & Kiesselbach of Düsseldorf, Germany, delivered a 2,500-ton hydraulic forging press to RMA Pipeline Equipment in Kehl, Germany. The order represented the company’s biggest press build since it was formed 120 years ago. The weight of the press is 250 tons, and it is almost 13 meters high with a press bed of 2.5 x 2.5 meters and 4.5-meter daylight. A moving bolster is also included in the press system, which has a 500-kW hydraulic drive unit. Valve bodies with a diameter of up to 1,400 mm are forged in the press.
