Net Forge, a producer of precision hot, warm and cold forgings for the automotive industry, had a unique celebration on Jan. 13. That Wednesday morning work was stopped to celebrate a full decade without a lost-time accident, meaning that in 10 years no employee missed work because of an on-the-job injury. After photos were taken and commemorative T-shirts were distributed, the company’s 35 employees each received a $100 gift card and an extra floating holiday they could take off during the year. Net Forge of Columbus, Ind., is owned by Chicago-based Hephaestus Holdings.
