Use only Adobe's: InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator (if you use Adobe Illustrator, please convert all fonts to paths) or QuarkXPress for creating digital ads.
Create or scan all art and photos using Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.
Save all photos with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (pixels/inch). Save logos and clip art (bitmap drawing images) with a minimum resolution of 600 dpi (pixels/inch).
For color ads, save all photos as CMYK in either EPS or TIFF format.Do not save images in RGB, Index Color, GIF or other formats. Do not save TIFF files with LZW compression or EPS files with halftone or transfer screens.
Avoid an additional charge for specific PMS colors by converting PMS colors to CMYK.
For B&W ads or B&W images used in color ads, save the images as grayscale (300 dpi) or bitmap (600 dpi) for clip art (drawing images).
Use only PostScript Type 1 fonts or we will substitute a similar-looking PostScript Type 1 font.
Place your digital files on any of the following: CD-R, CD-RW or DVD-R.
Copy the electronic files for all artwork: photographs, logos, drawings, clip art, etc. onto the disk in a folder labeled "Graphics", or use the application's "collect for output" feature.
Copy all screen and printer fonts used in the ad, including those used within EPS (Adobe Illustrator) graphics, onto the disk into a folder labeled "Fonts".
Provide a color matchprint (progressive proofs or color laser print-out) or one will be provided at your expense. For B&W ads, provide a B&W laser printout.
Print and provide a directory of all electronic files on the disk.
