I Squared R Element Company manufactures a 2 ¾-inch-diameter silicon-carbide heating element with a hot zone up to 200 inches long. The Starbar is made from high-density recrystallized silicon carbide and can provide temperatures up to 3000°F. It is strong and reliable, and it can be used in a horizontal or vertical orientation.
