Aremco-Seal 617 is a high-temperature, single part, water-based glass coating used to seal porosity in ceramics and refractories for applications to 1450ºF in electrical and high-vacuum applications where hermeticity is required. The sealant is applied by dipping, brushing or spraying and cleans up prior to curing with warm water. Curing is accomplished by setting at room temperature for 30 minutes, then heating to 1600ºF for an additional 30 minutes.
