Nobel Type R, S, and B thermocouple assemblies can be used where temperatures exceed the upper limits of base metal thermocouples (to 3100°F/1760°C) or for more precise measurements at lower temperatures where the additional cost is justified. Due to their calibration stability, they can also be used as reference standards to calibrate working standards. The assemblies are available with ceramic primary protection tubes or combinations of ceramic primary protection tubes with ceramic, metal/ceramic, or metal secondary tubes. All assemblies are pre-tested and ready to install.
