Erie Press Systems

Erie Press Systems, Erie, Pa., offers a range of hydraulic forge presses including this 4,000-ton press. Hydraulic presses offer both productivity and flexibility. Modern control systems operate faster than older ones, in some cases approaching mechanical-press speeds. Variable speed, strain rate, stroke and tonnage achieved with hydraulic presses allow forging more part configurations in a variety of size and material specs with one, two, three or more die stations. These presses can be designed specifically for hot, warm or cold forging as well as upsetting and extrusion, preforming or precision flashless forging. Standard and custom hydraulic and mechanical presses, rated from 250-15,000 tons (2.2-133.5MN), are available for today’s forging needs.
