Lefere Forge of Jackson, Mich., announced its successful management system upgrade. As of Aug. 28, the company attained certification from Bureau Veritas Certification UK Ltd. to the management system standard BS EN ISO 9001:2008, which will be valid through Jan. 4, 2012. This brings the company to date with the latest 2008 standard, and the BS EN designation allows Lefere Forge’s customers to sell its pressure-vessel forgings into the European market. Lefere Forge is a closed-die, hot forging company that serves the on- and off-highway equipment, agricultural and construction equipment, gear and energy markets.
