The Forging Industry Association (FIA) recently announced two new executive appointments. Roy W. Hardy joined the FIA on Aug. 17 as incoming executive vice president and chief staff officer. He will succeed C. H. (Charlie) Hageman, who is retiring from FIA later in the year. Mr. Hardy brings desired trade association, metals industry and management experience to FIA. His business background is principally in heat treating, with varied and progressive levels of experience in that industry. From 1994-2000, Mr. Hardy was the executive director of the Heat Treating Network in Cleveland, Ohio.

Separately, the FIA announced the hiring of Carola Sekreter as its incoming technical director. Ms. Sekreter, who joined the staff Sept. 14, comes from Smart Engineering Solutions. Her prior experience includes progressive assignments and responsibilities with FormTech Industries.
