Yapi-Tek Forge, Turkey’s largest steel forging company, has decided to expand the scope of its operations into structural steel fabrication to offset reductions in demand for its forgings. The new strategy required considerable investment in new machinery, staff and facilities. In addition to a 3,200-square-meter enlargement of enclosed production space at its headquarters in Kocaeli, the company established a 6,000-square-meter plant in Bursa and a 1,000-square-meter plant in Ankara, all focusing exclusively on structural steel fabrication. The company has changed its name to Yapi-Tek Steel to reflect the changes.

Yapi-Tek provided quality steel forgings to the automotive and other industries since 1959. The structural steel operations will help meet demand for steel fabrication services from the construction, mining, energy and manufacturing industries.
