The Schuler Group of Germany will complete the turnkey delivery of an automatic solid forming line with knuckle-joint press to Chinese auto supplier Huazhong Group this month. The production launch is scheduled for this summer. Equipped with a knuckle-joint drive, the line is capable of manufacturing complex part shapes with narrow tolerances. Although warm forming is just as precise as cold forming, it does not require time-consuming lubricant application on the slug material. Process cooling and lubrication is instead handled by an eco-friendly circulation system integrated into the dies. The line will enable Shanghai-based Huazhong to produce parts such as inner races and tripods.
