The North American division of the KAIZEN Institute, headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz., will modernize a production line at the Chelyabinsk Forge-and-Press Plant (Chelyabinsk, Russia), a major Russian manufacturer of automobile parts. The modernization would make it possible to operate several lathes at a time and create 40% additional production floor space.

"The KAIZEN Institute is a major consulting organization with subsidiaries in 14 countries,” said the plant's spokesman. “It has been cooperating with the plant for the past seven years. The institute's consultants hold seminars and training sessions for the plant's specialists."
